I studied ecology in college. I love being outside and learning how each plant or animal lives, but my favorite part is teaching others what I have learned. Whether it is going to the beach and teaching my sister about the little critters under rocks, or going on a hike and telling friends about the weeks I spent learning the names of all the trees, I love sharing the fun facts I have learned.
After graduating this summer, I spent a few months nannying. I enjoyed playing with the little girls outside and teaching them about some of the different plants in the yard. I thought it would be fun to make a little field journal to use with the kids so that they can learn how to make observations by drawing what they see outside. I would love to inspire some little ecologists! So I have decided to start sharing some of my ideas, and making activities for my mom’s class! Together we have made a little shop on teacherspayteachers.com called Pedersen Post. It would be great to get some feedback, and suggestions. Also, if you have any requests let me know! I would love to make an activity for you and your kiddos!
